Life Skills That Pay You Back
One of the most valued skills is time management. It sounds simple enough but how many times are you working overtime and not getting that to-do list done? There is really no right way. You need to find a system that works and stick with it. It might take time to fine tune it but well worth the effort. Another skills to master is sleeping. Don't get me wrong, it can be extremely hard to get a ritual down pat so that your nights are more restful and you are better functioning in the daytime. This means that at a certain point, you need to put down those communication services and screens. It is also important to positively talk to yourself. The relationship that you have with yourself is the most important and longest one you will ever have, better get it right. Another very valuable skill to have is to be able to ask for help when you need it. There are so many people that are afraid to ask for help or advice because they think that they will be perceived as incompetent. Quite interestingly, the opposite is true. When you ask someone for help, you validate their knowledge and expertise so when the time comes, chances are that they will be in your corner.
